- FHS đã hoàn thành các hạng mục công trình và thiết bị xử lý khí thải cho các hạng mục công trình đảm bảo đạt QCVN 51:2013/BTNMT, QCVN 19:2009/BTNMT và QCVN 22:2009/BTNMT cột B để vận hành Lò cao số 01.
- Thiết bị quan trắc khí thải tự động, liên tục đã lắp đặt 08 thiết bị cho: 05 ống khói của Nhà máy điện và 01 ống khói của Xưởng thiêu kết số 2 (08 thông số: Lưu lượng, nhiệt độ, áp suất, O2, bụi, SO2, NOx và CO); 01 ống khói của Lò cao số 1 (05 thông số: Nhiệt độ, bụi, SO2, NOx và CO); 01 ống khói chung của Lò luyện cốc số 1 và 2 (03 thông số: Bụi, SO2, NOx). Còn lại 07 thiết bị quan trắc khí thải tự động, liên tục chưa lắp đặt gồm: 01 ống khói Lò vôi số 1; 04 ống khói Lò gia nhiệt của Xưởng cán nóng; 02 ống khói Xưởng cán dây. Chi tiết thiết bị xử lý và quan trắc khí thải tự động, liên tục tại Phụ lục 1 kèm theo.
Hiện nay, 09 thiết bị quan trắc khí thải liên tục, tự động được truyền dữ liệu về Sở Tài nguyên và Môi trường Hà Tĩnh và Tổng cục Môi trường (ống khói Lò cao số 1; Máy thiêu kết số 1; Máy thiêu kết số 2; Lò luyện cốc số 1; 03 Tổ máy đốt than và 02 Tổ máy đốt khí của Nhà máy Nhiệt điện).
